Na Twoją skrzynkę w ostatnich dniach też trafiła prośba o weryfikację domeny, której nie jesteś właścicielem? Poszukaliśmy informacji o co chodzi.

Powiadomienia od Google Search Console są dosyć istotne z punktu widzenia właściciela strony. Mogą przecież dotyczyć poważnych problemów na stronie. Dużo osób więc zdziwiło się w ostatnich dniach, gdy otrzymało od Google powiadomienie z prośbą o weryfikację domeny. Wszystko byłoby ok gdyby nie to, że była to domena, której nie posiadali. Najczęściej błędem było usunięcie pierwszej litery z nazwy domeny. Tak, też dostaliśmy takiego maila:

Czy należy się przejmować tym błędem?

Czy Google ma problem z identyfikacją domen? Nie! Team Google otrzymał już informację o błędzie i potwierdził, że to problem po ich stronie.

That's a bug from our side, sorry. A part of the domain name got cut off in the email unfortunately. I'd check whether it's still relevant, and perhaps add the missing part of the site (or the domain).

That sounds legitimate. We unfortunately had a bug with a small set of sites in how we included the domain name in the message. The rest of the message should still be relevant though. Sorry about the confusion!
